Expect A Lot More Than Training
Nothing is perfect and I don't expect it to be, but I do have a complaint.
When I first researched making money online, I decided that affiliate marketing was the best place to start because I'd be able to learn the ropes without the additional demands of creating and marketing my own product. I also saw that plenty of regular people like me were using affiliate marketing to make a nice living. If so many others were doing it successfully, I was sure that I could, too.....
It was obvious that I needed help if I was going to to learn to do this right, but money was a problem. Even though there is no end to the courses, coaching programs, and memberships costing hundreds to thousands of dollars, I couldn't afford those things.
The most important requirement for Internet marketing success is accumulating the necessary knowledge. Internet marketing isn’t rocket science, but there is a learning curve. Attempts to learn Internet marketing on our own tend to be frustrating, expensive and very time consuming. I found out the hard way that gathering knowledge is the biggest stumbling block for beginners.
Ebooks as well as digital, printed, and video courses lack specific detail and aren't capable of answering ongoing questions. Besides, the subject of Internet marketing is so broad that it can't be covered in any one publication. It's up to us to decide which ebooks, courses, and tools to buy. Then we have to figure out how to put the pieces together.

If a member has a problem, something they’re confused about, or almost any question, it can be answered on the Wealthy Affiliate Forum. The members range from beginners through experienced full time marketers making six figures per year. It’s a friendly place and all are willing to help.
Wealthy Affiliate is often promoted as featuring “one on one personal coaching” with the owners Kyle and Carson. In reality, that’s stretching the definition of personal coaching awfully thin.
One on one coaching costs thousands of dollars and the number of clients that can be taken on at one time is very limited. You don’t get personal coaching for $39.00 per month in a program that has thousands of active members. That’s just silly.
If you need privacy and can’t ask for help on the forum or you have a problem, you can always contact Kyle or Carson. To their credit, they answer all messages. However, the answers tend to be short and narrowly focused on a specific issue. They are happy to help, but they can only spread themselves so thin. Great customer service? Absolutely! Personal coaching? I don't think so.
All in all, Wealthy Affiliate is an invaluable resource for the beginning through Intermediate marketer. Literally everything you need to go from zero to up and running is on the Wealthy Affiliate site.
By the time you need to purchase additional resources (such as automation software for example), you will be making enough money so price won't be an issue. You will have the knowledge and skill to decide what you really need in order to accomplish specific tasks. You will also be able to decide what you don't need regardless of the daily sales pitches landing in your inbox.
